10 weeks ago, I approached The ASP Team to undertake the ASP Evolution system to see how I could modify my lifestyle so that I could understand my body better. My goal was to lose fat according to some guidelines by avoiding cardio as much as possible!
When I had my first BioPrint consult, I learnt that my body did not respond well to my frequent intake of sugars and I was effectively storing a large proportion of my carbohydrate intake as fat! In addition, there were foods I was intolerant to, and this was stressing out my gut. Based on these and other results, Ben devised a personalized eating plan for me.
As the weeks progressed, my diet plan as advised by Ben, would alter according to how my bodily needs changed, and this kept me from plateauing. Even though I was eating more, and having gradually more carbs as the weeks progressed, I became leaner and stronger.
By the next measurement just after 14 days, the changes in my body were extremely positive.
Philip's 12-Week Transformation
I found the techniques used by ASP revolutionary. Based on what I have experienced in this BioPrint program, there are plenty of common misconceptions with dieting. It was important for me to be receptive to Ben’s instructions and what may work for others may not necessarily work for me. Initially, I found cooking and eating ‘clean’ daunting because I am a terrible cook and the idea of eating clean sounded disgusting. Frankly, keeping a strict meal program was challenging but I was motivated to keep improving my BioPrint results.
Another ASP activity I really enjoyed and believe was integral to helping me improve my strength and conditioning is the Strongman classes. I was a frequent participant of the classes conducted by George, Ben and Luke. Although the workouts are exhausting, I think the exposure is fantastic, the high intensity is challenging but it’s highly recommended. I have learnt to push myself in these classes to get the most out of these experienced coaches.
In embarking on the ASP programs, I had all the motivation and inspiration I need, as well support from all the coaches and even members. I have met and learned from some great individuals and I cannot wait to get back. I have thoroughly enjoyed my transformation in the last 10 weeks, losing from 21% bodyfat to 13.3% bodyfat, and have putting of 5kgs of lean muscle. In fact, my deadlifts increased from a 110kg max, to a 200kg maximum in a short 10 weeks!
- Phillip’s goal was to lose fat and get lean within 10 weeks. Problem was that he was a big foodie and had svioded ‘clean’ food like the plague as he thought clean food = bad tasting food. Once we had educated him on different ways of food preparation techniques and how to using spices and herbs to enhance taste, this transformation was really a smooth sailing process.
- Phil was extremely was compliant to the protocols we set out for him and had the capacity to train more frequently given he was a student. This was great combo that yielded amazing results both aesthetically and in terms for fitness and strength (Phil lifted a 200kg deadlift from a 110kg max in just 10 weeks!)
Based on my journey, I truly believe anyone can achieve the results they want with the right mindset. Finally, I would just like to thank Ben and the entire ASP team for being very accommodating to me.Philip L.
